A Message from the Principal - June, 2011

Hello Fellow Falcon Community members,

It is hard to believe that we are rapidly approaching the end
of the 2010-2011 school year. We are less than one month
away from seniors graduating on Tuesday, May 24th and
underclassmen finishing their last day of school on Thursday,
May 26th. As a school community our intentions are for
clear and consistent communication to all, so I hope you find
this newsletter both informational and insightful. We are at a
point in the school year where there can never be too much
communication. I invite you to visit the Thunder Mountain
High School website for your informational needs. If you see
something missing from our website, you would like to add
something to our website or you simply note a correction on
our website please e-mail me at dan_larson@jsd.k12.ak.us.
Your advice, input and feedback is always welcome.

The month of May provides the perfect opportunity to
invite you to visit our school website. If you have not
already done so, a simple internet search can lead you to the
Thunder Mountain High School home page. On the TMHS
home page you can find useful information to include but
not be limited to; calendars, quick links, student links, parent
links and district links. One particular important link this
time of year for example, is; “summer school registration.” I
would ask you to “bookmark” the TMHS homepage and use
our website frequently. Also, know that we are here to work
with you on our journey of continuous improvement in the
best interest of student achievement.

If you are the parent/guardian of a graduating senior please
refer to the “Seniors Note” on the top right hand corner of
the TMHS home page for pertinent and timely information.
If you are the parent/guardian of a student who will return
to TMHS next fall please note all the opportunities listed
on our website for your student(s) to get more involved in
the TMHS school community. Research has proven time
and time again that the more your student is involved in the
school community beyond the classroom the greater their
chance is in experiencing success in life. Let’s plan on our
student’s futures together by getting on the same page, the
TMHS home page.

Very truly,

Dan Larson
