Robotics Carol May 780-1988

The two TMHS robotics  teams  compete at the regional and state levels.  We participate in First Technical Challenge, a division of US FIRST, founded by Dean Kamen.  Each year, there is a challenge - or game - in which robots try to score points.  Unlike the FLL robots for younger students, our robots are made of metal Tetrix parts, can be 18"x18"x18", and use DC motors and servos.  This year, we are learning RobotC as our programming language.

Our design sessions are generally Tuesday and Thursday after school in the purple commons.  The teams are coached by Carol May, a TMHS math teacher and former engineer.  We are always looking for community mentors.  If you are interested, please contact Carol at mayc@jsd.k12.ak.us
