During the 2011-­‐2012 school year, the Juneau School District will release students one hour early on the following Mondays. During this time, teachers will work together in small groups  to focus on instruction that improves learning in each classroom. This work centers on methods of instruction and individual student progress. Evidence from across the country shows that schools and districts that have been able to significantly improve student success have all used this collaborative team  approach.
